What is Host Broadcasting?

Host Broadcasting involves one company facilitating high quality television coverage of an event, in an unbiased and timely manner, which can then be distributed to all interested parties or rights holders, as necessary.

Feltech’s Host Broadcasting team go one step further and offer a turn-key solution for clients, including;

HD live transmission provision of full media centre facilities for both written press and broadcasters production design accreditation services internet and telephony provision edit suites radio booths webcasting power catering security signal distribution media relations  simultaneous translation systems transmission in multiple standards and formats

Host Broadcasting services are particularly beneficial where security is an issue; it enables crew numbers to be kept to a minimum and all staff can be accredited and security checked in advance, in addition the volume of equipment required on site is minimized and can be easily scrutinized by security services.

There are a number of other advantages to host broadcasting.  Dedicated host broadcaster cameras can be located in the most advantageous positions, allowing all interested parties access to the best shots.  Clients can also control what footage is shared with the media or not, which is particularly useful if meetings are partially closed or covering sensitive information.

All footage can be routed through Feltech’s bespoke dedicated master control room, which is capable of handling multiple sources and is able to route these to microwave, satellite and fibre optic links to allow simultaneous broadcast of signals around the world.  Feltech’s MCR has been designed as a modular unit built into a series of flight cases, which allows quick and flexible installation on site.

To complement Feltech’s cutting edge technology, our technical crew are hand picked, experienced live broadcast professionals with impeccable credentials, accustomed to working under pressure to high standards.

Host Broadcasting doesn’t have to be large scale; it can be as simple as a single crew at an event or meeting where space is at a premium or a small team covering a high profile guest’s visit - at the other end of the spectrum Host Broadcasting can facilitate events of international importance such as the G20 meetings. Whether your project is large or small, Feltech can help.
