ENI is a major Italian multinational integrated energy company present in 79 countries, and currently Italy's largest industrial company. The live event was held at ENI’s London Headquarters on Buckingham Palace Road and featured key members of the ENI board including CEO Paolo Scaroni and Chairman Giuseppe Recchi.
ENI’s Headquarters required significant work to provide the necessary space for the event, and meeting room facilities were converted to accommodate the additional capability required, whilst Feltech provided fibre and technical facilities between key areas in the building to create the necessary connectivity around the venue.
Additional space was used on the floor below the main event to provide a media centre area for journalists to work in and file reports, including multiple power points, telephone and wireless internet connectivity alongside live video links to the event on the floor above. An additional audience overspill area was created to cater for those unable to fit into the main event room with branded backdrops and live video links.
Working in conjunction with ENI’s remote set designer, Feltech’s event staging included a set for six board members complete with podium, video wall and integrated lighting design.
Both the Strategy Meeting and Press Conference events were simultaneously webcast and remote viewers were invited to participate in the live question and answer session to the board via the internet and a phone in.

“Staging an event of this size within a working environment posed a number of challenges,” said Peter Fell, Feltech’s Managing Director “it was vital that Feltech’s technical team didn't disturb the trading floor whilst preparations were made, so overnight teams were used to rig and derig the entire event with the minimum of disruption”.

Some rather unorthodox installation methods were also employed, in order to rig the event space on the 5th floor of the office building. The production team took advantage of the empty building during the overnight rig and lifted 5 metre long sections of the set straight up the building’s atrium.
A branded temporary reception and cloakroom area was also constructed to provide registration facilities at the entrance to the building, with signage and banners produced to direct the guests, journalists and analysts around the building.
